What happens to items or assets linked to a banned account?

Any items or assets linked to a banned ccount are considered to have been obtained illegitimately will be removed from circulation.

Anything associated with a banned account is treated as compromised through illegitimate activity, which means the items cannot be returned.

The reason for this is that we cannot independently verify, without a significant amount of time and resources, whether specific assets on the account were obtained legitimately. 

For example, if a player scams another user or generates gold through alt accounts, they might then use that gold to buy high-value items from the market, upgrade their character, or progress through parts of the game much faster than intended. Those items and upgrades would appear legitimate on the surface because they were obtained through normal game systems, but they were ultimately funded by illegitimate activity. Once that happens, it becomes extremely difficult to separate what was earned fairly from what was not. Because of this, our policy is to treat the entire account and anything within it as compromised.

If you have lost items to an account that was later banned, unfortunately there is no way to recover them. All trades, and especially loans or trust-based exchanges, are done at your own risk. In cases involving scams or other illegitimate behaviour, the offending player will be punished and the affected items removed from circulation, but they will not be returned.
